It happened by mistake. It was the perfect day for outdoor activities...temperature in the low 80's, minimal wind, bright sun. Took Aunt Edith out for lunch and an airing. And of course, there was gardening. Most of the plants have been assigned both a pot and a location, and as I was walking back to hook up the hose to water the new plantlings, it caught my eye.
Peeking out from its cloak of green, the first spring bloom! What a delightful juxtaposition of bright colors! Of course, I couldn't let it go. If mother can provide the impetus, little Billy can manipulate the parts to emphasize the flower.
And let the season bring forth beauty and love!
